Photographer
I bought my first SLR camera in 2002, not knowing which path it would take me down. A few weeks later I found myself with the singer songwriter Heather Nova on her European tour. A passion for live music photography followed and since then I have been fortunate to photograph some of the biggest bands of recent and not so recent years as well as breaking talent. I have been commissioned or published by the NME, NME.com, Kruger Magazine, Reverb, Sup Magazine, Drowned In Sound, The Observer, The Daily Star, The Express on Sunday and The Times. I am also a regular contributor to Clash Magazine and Artrocker. In 2008 my music work extended into a more commercial environment when I started working with the Institute of Contemporary Music shooting both their school prospectus and advertising campaigns. Last year I started working with international charity WARCHILD documenting their live music events.
In 2006 my client base broadened when I was commissioned by UK sports charity The Youth Sport Trust to shoot their 2006 annual review. This year will be my 5th annual review and I currently shoot for their press departments, a broad range of their publications, web and annual events. In 2008 having worked closely with Dame Kelly Holmes as Patron of Youth Sport Trust she commissioned me to shoot for her newly founded Legacy Trust. In 2009 I broadened my portfolio again when commissioned to shoot a new collection for fashion label 'Whereareyounow?' and Liberties Autumn Collection look book.
My passion for photography continues to develop. I am currently working with both my new and established clients whilst also developing both personal and commercial projects. Based in London I am available for commissions both national and international.
I cover live music in all its formats, festivals, band promotion & press, touring & studio documentary, editorial features, portraits, fashion, sports/youth events and am open to new challenges. Most recently I have been shooting a personal project on Svalbard in the Arctic Circle halfway between Norway and the North Pole!
