Louise Roberts is a Photographer, Designer and Creative Director with over 15 years combined experience. After graduating with a BA in Fine Art she secured a design internship; this was followed by a successful stint in the field of music merchandise design (including a Take That arena tour). She went on to work as senior designer for ex-Island Records Creative Director Bruno Tilley, where she received valuable commercial design experience. Just 18 months later she set up LRDesign where she became best known for working with 'Chris Blackwell's' cult DVD publishing company Manga Entertainment. She was responsible for overseeing the label's creative direction and all packaging design and POS for over 12 years, working on campaigns for iconic releases such as Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex and Akira.
In 2002, Louise sought a new challenge and bought her first pro SLR camera. Two weeks later, armed with a bag of film, she found herself on tour with singer-songwriter Heather Nova as Heather's 'official' photographer. This was the beginnings of a new passion and creative direction, and over the last six years Louise has shot and photo edited both commercially and editorially for a wide range of clients within the music, live event and fashion industries as well as working with UK charity The Youth Sports Trust shooting their press, events and publications.
At the tail-end of 2011 she formed international photographic agency Burst with music photographers Danny North and Andrew Whitton. Burst is a unique agency that combines world class live events photography with social media to create a powerful and promotional tool.
In 2011 Louise also joined the Fashion and Arts magazine The Untitled Magazine as Associate Art Director on the 'Voyage' issue. This is indicative of her constantly looking for new opportunities where she is able to merge her talents as a Photographer, Designer Creative and Art Director.
Louise is currently working as Creative Director with a range of young artists developing their entire visual brand both online and print.
