I was commissioned by the youth sport trust to shoot an event focusing on children with disabilities and sports. It was technically quite difficult as there was barely any light in the sports hall we were in. Rather than shoot flash which can also be quite unsettling for the children I elected to shoot on a high ISO. I was really happy with the results. These kid's are a true inspiration to work with and it was as always a very humbling experience.
A very spontanious promo shoot with Ellapaige on a very cold winters afternoon ... Ellapaige is a singer songwriter from west london ... I have no doubt you will be hearing a lot more about her in the years to come!
At the end of 2011 Andrew Whitton, Danny North and I formed a new photographic agency Burst. Burst is a unique agency that combines world class live events photography with promotion and social media to create a powerful communications tool. We look at covering events in a much deeper way, our aim - to make those not at the event experience and engage in it second hand and those who were there to be able to really re-live their experience. It was great to work with Jonathan again. He wanted a selection of images to use for promotion and also one for the cover of his forthcoming EP What We Are which is out on the 18th May.
